Entire Staff to be replaced at Miramonte Elementary School
Los Angeles schools Supt. John Deasy told parents Monday evening that the district is replacing the entire staff of Miramonte Elementary School in the wake of the arrests last week of two teachers on lewd conduct charges.
The unprecedented move is intended to build confidence among the many families who have lost faith in their neighborhood elementary school. More than a quarter of students did not show up for classes Monday.
Officials stressed that no one else on the Miramonte staff is under suspicion of wrongdoing but that the chain of events has placed a cloud over the campus that can be lifted only with a drastic response. READ MORE

Mavs coach (Carlisle) soccer skills
The Thunder took 33 trips to the line, and the Mavericks didn't think that was particularly fair. "We attack the basket strong and didn't get anything," said Shawn Marion. "They call ticky-tack down on the other end."
When Nick Collison stripped Jason Terry early in the fourth quarter, Rick Carlisle yelled out for a foul call that never came. After Russell Westbrook finished the ensuing fast break, the ball rolled right over to Carlisle, who booted it into the second row. It whacked a small blond boy in the back of the head, which is how these things usually turn out. READ MORE

Have you tried the "cinnamon challenge" it's to gag for!

What Happened to "Freedom Of Speech"

It's still a free country.
You are still free to preach against the alleged dangers of engaging in a homosexual lifestyle, as Tennessee state Sen. Stacey Campfield did recently.
You are even free to assert -- as Campfield did, incorrectly -- that the HIV epidemic began when a gay airline employee had sex with a monkey.
Just don't think you're going to be able to go to downtown Knoxville, sit down for brunch at one of its better restaurants and enjoy the red flannel hash topped with poached eggs -- because the proprietor just might refuse service to the likes of you.
Teacher abuses kids during school hours
An elementary school teacher accused of gagging and blindfolding students allegedly did so in his classroom during school hours, according to a detective on the case.
“He disguised it as a game,” said sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Scott of the special victims unit. “This occurred in his regular classroom with his students,” Scott said. “It wasn’t done in secret. The only secret was what the game was really about.”
