The 23-year-old math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado who is in hot water with Cherry Creek School District officials for tweeting racy photos of herself as well as posting about drug use was put on paid leave by the district, but some of her students -- and fans -- are standing by her on Twitter in her time of need using the hashtag #FreeCrunkBear to show their support.

9News reports that some of Carly McKinney's students don't think she should be punished for what she pursues in her free time outside of school hours. "It's a teacher that's only five or six years older than our oldest students," an Overland High School student named Shaun told 9News. "So we kind of relate to her on a personal level."

Even some of McKinney's fellow teachers told 9News that they support her right to free speech and don't think she should be fired over her tweets.

The #FreeCrunkBear" hashtag comes from McKinney's now deleted Twitter page where she went by @Crunk_Bear. Here are some of the supportive tweets since the news broke that McKinney's behavior was going to be investigated by the school district.

Meantime, Henderson was back in Oxford celebrating Ole Miss's 6-0 SEC record by double-fisting Coors Lights at a party just three nights after celebrating a win over Tennessee by doing something with a girl at a bar. All of this stuff made the rounds on Twitter. Folks can't get enough. So no student-athlete has dominated social media over the past week like this sharp-shooting, trash-talking, possibly crazy and absolutely controversial guard who's currently enrolled in his fourth college since leaving high school. JANUARY 16--The California teacher who was fired last year after her prior career as a porn actress was discovered by her middle school students has had her appeal unanimously rejected by a state panel that ruled that the online availability of her X-rated work “will continue to impede her from being an effective teacher and respected colleague.” In a 48-page decision, the Commission on Professional Competence ruled that Stacie Halas, 32, was unfit to continue teaching at the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard. Halas, a science teacher, began working at the school in 2009, several years after her porn career ended. READ MORE

The 'Gay Test' 7th Graders Watch Gay Porn & Masturbate

A group of seventh-graders in San Diego reportedly watched porn and masturbated during class as part of a "gay test" some students created — and some said their teacher didn't do anything about it.

Nine boys were suspended from Bell Middle School in May after some other students in the all-male English class at the public school reported the disturbing scene to administrators, according to the U-T San Diego newspaper.

In written reports about the incident reviewed by U-T San Diego, witnesses said the boys were wearing gym shorts when they watched porn on their cell phones and several openly masturbated.

Several boys in the 22-student class raised their hands to complain, the students wrote.

But the teacher, Ed Johnson, brushed them off, saying he'd send the offenders to the principal if he caught them, and then went back to reading aloud from a book, U-T San Diego reported. READ MORE

School officials in Southern California put a junior high teacher on leave this week after students discovered she may have been moonlighting as a porn star, according to local reports.

Oxnard school district officials have not named the suspected porn vixen, who teaches science to seventh- and eighth-graders at Haydock Intermediate School, the Ventura County Star reported. READ MORE

NEW HAVEN — The principal of Clinton Avenue School is on leave after students in the lunchroom experimented with a bizarre fad in which kids try to swallow a spoonful of cinnamon.

Thousands of YouTube videos available online show young people taking the “cinnamon challenge” and then erupting into fits of coughing, gasping for air and, in some cases, vomiting. One school in Pennsylvania banned open-top boots in part to keep students from bringing cinnamon to school for the challenge. READ MORE
