LOS ANGELES -- There have been 127 games between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers since the Clips moved to L.A. before the 1984-85 season, and the Lakers have won 97 of them. 

However, if you think Friday’s Lakers-Clippers game has a different feel than most of those other matchups, you have good reason. In those 127 games, the Clippers came into the showdown with a better record than their crosstown rival just 14 times, going 3-11 in those games. Even rarer has been a matchup this late into the season with the Clippers doing better than the Lakers when the teams tipped it off. Barkley Weighs In On Shaq's jealousy for Dwight Howard

Barkley says Shaq told him he’s trying to motivate Dwight Howard with all his criticism of the Lakers center, but Barkley believes there is something personal going on there.

“I love Shaq, but I had to pull him aside. First of all, that’s just silly to say. I’m starting to wonder if he just doesn’t like Dwight Howard,” Barkley told LeBatard. “Shaq is one of my best friends, but there’s something going on there. I don’t like it to be honest with you.

“I like Dwight Howard. I think he’s a terrific player and a really good kid. But it seems like Shaq is starting to get a little too personal. I like Brook Lopez, but I’ve never been drunk enough to say he’s better than Dwight Howard.

Kobe & Co. Say Their Team Is Better Than 92' Dream Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Michael Jordan said there's no way Kobe Bryant and this year's USA Olympic basketball team could've beaten the 1992 Dream Team.

Jordan told The Associated Press Thursday that he laughed -- "I absolutely laughed" -- when hearing Bryant's comments that the U.S. squad training in Las Vegas could take Jordan and company. Jordan said there's "no comparison" which team is better.

If there was one thing to take away from the fantastic Dream Team documentary that recently aired, is just how much trash talk takes place when the world’s greatest basketball players join forces. It’s no different this time around, as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James headline Team USA’s for Olympic Gold in London. But before they head across the pond, Bryant will remind James that he has a long way to go before he catches up in the race for NBA titles. From SI:

“He’s going to be a different player,’ said [Tyson] Chandler of the impact the championship will have on [LeBron] James. Chandler should know because he became a champion with Dallas in 2011 at the expense of James and Miami. ‘LeBron was already an incredible player, and if not the best, top two — there’s only one other guy that can challenge that, and he’s on this team.’ Chandler was referring to [Kobe] Bryant, of course. ‘So his whole mentality is going to be different, because the confidence of winning an NBA championship changes a player,’ said Chandler. ‘Confidence — knowing you’re a champion, you’re the best. You walk around with that swagger, and he deserves it. He worked very hard and now he can call himself a champ.’

James harden Throwing Gang Signs... Being Called Out!!

Slim Thug & Lil Duval took to Twitter to go in on James Harden for throwing up Blood signs on the court. Check the story & tweets… James Harden has been throwing up some suspect signs on the court lately, that have lead some known street rappers to believe that he is false claiming the Blood Gang.  Harden also sent a Blood related tweet to Lil Wayne recently when Wayne felt disrespected about not being given front row court side seats at a recent OKC vs Spurs playoff game.

“Come to the next game. We got seats for U 5,” Harden tweeted.

At the game on June 4th vs the Spurs, Harden was running up and down the court throwing up hand signs that alerted many people to him claiming to be Blood.  Slim Thug, and Lil Duval took special notice to his gang related hand signs, and hit up their Twitter accounts to address his claims.

They both believe that he is false claiming, and “not about that life.”  They even ripped into him for not acting like a “G” when he got elbowed by Ron Artest, “he wasn’t in a gang when Artest was on the court.”

Chirs Anderson "Birdman" investigated for kiddie porn

The home of Denver Nuggets star Chris Andersen -- aka The Birdman -- is being investigated by the Internet Crimes Against Children task force in Colorado ... TMZ has learned. 

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... the Douglas County Sheriff's Dept. received a tip from a California law enforcement agency back in February ... and finally searched Andersen's home early this morning. We're told officials seized property from the residence during the search. 

We're told Andersen has not been arrested -- or charged with a crime.

Chris' attorney had no comment.
