watching this brutal video, I must assume it was derived from an
unfortunate cricket injury from a time long ago when plastic cups didn't

A group that includes former Los Angeles Lakers star Magic Johnson and longtime baseball executive Stan Kasten agreed Tuesday night to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers from Frank McCourt for a record $2 billion.

It’s an ab-omination! Jersey Shore star Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino is banned from turning rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah into a gun show, according to TMZ. Guidelines at the facility make sleeveless T-shirts taboo and ripped jeans verboten and explicitly state that “abdominal exposure” is a no-no. What this means is that whether or not rehab works, going cold turkey on his uninhibited Shore lifestyle may mean that the Situation will still come out suffering withdrawal.

HELENA -- A Helena man has been charged with animal cruelty for getting his dog four times more drunk than the legal limit for humans driving motor vehicles.
Todd Harold Schrier, 49, also faces a felony drug charge related to the March 1 incident.
At about 11:30 that night, East Helena police responded to a report of an intoxicated dog being cared for at Smith’s Bar and found Arly II, a Pomeranian or Pomeranian cross, who could not walk a straight line and kept falling over when placed on the floor, according to an affidavit filed by police in District Court.
The dog had drunk in a car outside the bar and was reported to police by customers, according to the bar's owner.READ MORE

Conflicts with trading Tebow!
After word spread rapidly Wednesday that the New York Jets had acquired quarterback Tim Tebow from Denver for draft picks, the teams have encountered a hang-up in the language in Tebow's contract that could nullify the trade, a Broncos source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
In Tebow's contract is a $6.2 million salary advance, of which $1.2 million already has been paid by Denver, sources told Schefter. The difference of $5 million is still advanced against his future salary, and that burden would shift to the Jets in a trade. The Jets, sources said, believe the Broncos should owe Tebow that money. MIAMI -- The Miami Heat have an open roster spot and veteran guard Derek Fisher is a free agent. Fisher, after completing a multiyear buyout with the Houston Rockets, is looking for a role on a contender.
The question is whether Fisher makes any sense for the perimeter-stacked Heat or if he still has enough left in the tank to help a team make a title run.
"One thing you know about Derek Fisher is that he's a winner; he's not afraid of the moment and he's won multiple championships," Heat star LeBron James said Monday.
"I don't know what our plans are but I don't see it as a bad fit it if happens. What we have we're comfortable with, but he could fit anyone's team because of his leadership and his commitment to winning."
