Breaking!!! Tommy Lasorda Hospitalized after Heart Attack

Baseball legend Tommy Lasorda is currently in a New York hospital after suffering a heart attack Monday, TMZ has learned.

84-year-old Lasorda -- who ended his illustrious coaching career after a prior heart attack in 1996 -- was in NY representing the L.A. Dodgers at the MLB draft, which started yesterday.

Sources tell us ... the heart attack was "mild" and Tommy is expected to be ok -- and the plan is for him to be released tomorrow. READ MORE

The Kings Have Arrived!!

With the city suddenly paying rapt attention, the Los Angeles Kings, a team in the truest sense of the word, appear ready to rumble as they bid to bring home their first Stanley Cup.



Having traveled across the country in hopes of leading our city's many puck-free sports fans onto the back of the Kings' bandwagon, I have skated into my first stark truth.

There is no bandwagon. There are no trumpets, no bass drums, no bunting. On this Stanley Cup Final media day, there is only a bunch of guys in black hoodies, scraggly hair, thick beards and chipped smiles. They speak little about themselves. They speak with reverence about the team. In a variety of soft Canadian accents, they speak not about the pressure of the destination, but the wonders of the trip. READ MORE
