The son of former Boston Celtics star Larry Bird was arrested after he allegedly tried to run over his ex-girlfriend with his car.

Conner Bird, 21, was taken into custody by the Indiana University police department Sunday, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Bird and his ex-girlfriend, who has not been identified, allegedly got into a fight at his apartment, police say. Bird then reportedly threw a cellphone at the alleged victim.

Police say Bird took the victim to a parking lot to talk things over, but they got into another argument. The victim then reportedly got out of the car, leading Bird to attempt to hit her with his car twice, the Indianapolis Star reported.

The Portland, Oregon man is facing an array of criminal charges after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend early yesterday and “choked her with his dread-locked hair,” according to police.

Grotberg, 32, was busted after cops responded to a domestic disturbance call around 2:30 AM Monday. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what police described as “numerous, non-life-threatening injuries.”

Pictured in the above mug shot, Grotberg was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on kidnapping, assault, menacing, strangulation, and domestic violence charges.

Update on the Ochocinco Lozada Domestic Dispute

Evelyn Lozada, the wife of Miami Dolphins star Chad Johnson, formerly Ochocinco, was reportedly the victim of a domestic violence incident on Saturday night. Johnson was arrested after he reportedly head-butted Lozada during a heated argument, reportedly leaving her with lacerations on her forehead.TMZ has just obtained the police report from the incident, which indicates that Lozada had to flee to a neighbor's house to escape Johnson. The official report also says that Johnson allegedly butt-headed Lozada during an argument about a receipt for condoms.
